Featured bad ted, doll, sweet ted

    hey folks

    old ted got sold for a lovely profit

    got these 3 at a boot sale £10 for all 3

    bad grumpy ted (im Keeping )

    some sort of doll

    sweet ted

    any thoughts on age etc, appreciated

    The guy I bought it from said the doll was a pippi longstocking, but think pippi was a ginger (haired girl)

    I've seen this type of doll......cloth body,mask face. I doubt she's Pippielongstocking, but some might think so.

    These are EVERYWHERE, the mask faced dollies.
    Originally they had very long legs for children to dance with them and were called Dance With Me dollies or sommet, in the 50s. They morphed into being marketed as merely mask faced in the 60s/70s.

    Teddies are about the same age as ole Mask Face.
    One is called a Sooty type ... I pick em up if they're cheap, they sell OK xx

    I've been searching for years for the bunny version of your first ted. Bunzy was my childhood lovey in the 1960s. He was pink, and constructed just like first ted. :happy:

    They are. I especially like Teddy Tank Top who looks surprised and happy even with one eye!
