Featured Bakelite/ Early plastic Berry & Leaf Necklace

    A good few months ago I posted a bad photo of this necklace through a glass cabinet in a charity shop to see if anyone had ideas about it.
    It has been sitting there looking at me every time I have gone in begging to be rescued. Today I took it to the counter and asked if there was any wriggle room on the price and they halved it. So it came home and I’m trying again with better pics.
    Any ideas please on origin or age? The leaves are c4cm and the beads are some type of early plastic/ Bakelite type stuff.

    What is that type of chain called? Does it date it to the 1920s? I have couple of necklaces with the same chain.

    It is a book chain, a very old chain type, which makes it difficult to date without other parts. It isn't used much now though.
    Maybe you could post yours?
