Featured Baoule Mask with Raffia Beard?

Hi I all,I see alot of African
masks many are very typical and more or less the same (and most are clearly decorative and tourist market stuff) So I don’t buy them. This one probably also just maybe a little more upmarket than most. I was impressed with the size,weight and detail. The mask is 40cm long (the beard then ads another 25cm) 28cm wide and 18cm deep. Looks uncomfortable and not made to be worn (in my opinion) Still I think it’s well carved. Maybe a Lega mask? I think its a mask you buy from one of those boutique African art/items places were everything is overpriced for our rich tourist friends.

Boland-I agree with you re prob an upscale tourist piece,still a cut above much airport art.
