    Hi all,

    The style and shiny back looks like early to mid last century.

    Looks 1970s, sorry but I don't know who made these.

    Edited to say it could be earlier too..

    Forgot to mention it also looks English. A company called SHORTLAND SMITHS made a lot of large square faced barometers and probably sold unbranded ones to others.

    a good barometer always has the name of the place somewhere that is the theoretical zero level for adjusting it. everything else is modern.

    Wouldn't the fact that mercury isn't being used in the thermometer indicate it is very modern?

    glycerine is more probable these days.

    British, 1940's, and as for maker, it could have been many, the fact it doesn't have a makers name means the instrument was probably mass produced and housed by another company.
