Basketry Strainer with Carved Forked Handle; From Where?

Length overall ~12", bowl is ~5" X ~4 3/8", 2 3/8" deep; total weight ~1.8 oz.
The arms of the fork are shaved thin to form the entire oval rim. Finer (more flexible?) material was used to finish the woven centers, pic 9 & 10.
It may be tourist ware, but I doubt that. The appearance is of a utilitarian item made by someone who has done dozens, if not hundreds or thousands, just like it. Minor staining shows color that may indicate tea, but that's just a guess. There is no odor, nor any remnant of organic material. I don't think it has any significant age to it. Have any of you basketry folks got helpful hints or comments? Thanks for lookin'!

This strainer is pictured ( figure 3-107) on page 93 of Virginia L. Harvey's book The Techniques of Basketry, and identified as "A strainer from the Laguna Province of Luzon, the Phillipines."

Credit is given "Courtesy of the American Museum of Natural History, New York."

Based on the number I've seen over the years (usually misidentified, and the last in April, 2023), I'd say the number produced is probably closer to the "hundreds of thousands" and they probably never are intended for actual use.
