Now, @Anne Grethe , that having been looked at, there may not be any one artist named Daniel who painted this one. It appears to be a "factory painting" - much like the type Walter Anderson and Bob Ross taught and painted. It may have been done by more than one person.

If you watch Bob Ross on youtube, you may be better able to recognize a factory painting when you see one. Indeed, it's lovely, but I doubt it to have been painted by a famous named artist.

It is painted in a pallet knife style, using large brushes on the background to blend the colors together quickly, the foreground is very easily and quickly painted using the tips of large brushes dipped in paint for tree leaves. The trunks are not very masterfully painted, just a bit of brown dragged up to make imaginary branches. It's a fast style of painting. Check out Bob Ross on Youtube and you will see how your painting was painted. @Anne Grethe

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Looks to me like it could be FP or FR Daniel.....

@Anne Grethe , one reason it was called "factory art" was because sometimes, one artist would paint the background, another artist would paint the water, another would paint the leaves. The signature would often be a combination of more than one artist's names, or simply a random name.

These were also called "highway paintings" it's worth a google.

because they were sold by the roadsides.

Yes, it's very pretty and I like it too. I'm glad you're going to keep it! :singing:
And I'm glad to hear Bob Ross is still on Youtube, he was such a good guy! :joyful:
