I purchased this beautiful decanter and I was hoping to learn more about it. It caught my eye because it’s so beautiful and the detailing is amazing. It’s 12” inches tall with the stopper and the cups are 4” inches tall. Any help would be appreciated!

P.S - You guys are the best!

It's either Italian or Bohemian, and I'd think most likely to be Italian. 1950s or 60s.

1.png 2.png I have a question - is this a maker's mark on the neck, or perhaps just "use wear" from handling and it got scratched? I ask because it appears never to have ever been used.

I want to ask members about the bottom because the Bohemian glass I've had similar to this was never "uneven" to have a little blob or pinch marks on the bottom. Does it sit flat with no uneven rocking? I must give it up to the experience of others, but due to this oddness on the bottom, I doubt it is old enough to be Bohemian? At that point, I'd think it's Italian, but I don't know.

wow thanks for posting that out! It does sit flat and doesn’t rock. It seems people did that the stopper in and out because that has some wear but I wants aware that Italians made these types of decanters as well! I would love to know more if possible, like also why there’s that imperfection at the bottom.

These were made in Bohemia - Czechoslovakia - well after WW2.

I thought so too, but never seen the bottom of one "tweaked" before.
