We’ve had this gorgeous piece in the family for at least 60 years but nobody knows a thing about it. Somewhere in the house is a picture of my great aunt seated with it in the 50s.

Origin I suppose might be Austrian but pain is there’s no makers mark nor model number. My mother took it to an antique store a while back and got no answers but several offers. Thank goodness for y’all. Told her we might have more luck here.

So far we’ve got nothing so I’m all ears.

Some who CAN help will be along...meanwhile....Please add the size as well!! Thanks! This also might help in getting your images loaded FULL SIZE instead of 'thumb nails'......Many on phones can't really see the images well....thank you for going back and doing that too...in advance!! :

Absolutely! My apologies I don’t know how I could have forgotten. Height is 12.5 inches and diameter is 6.5 inches.

Hello RogerRoger and welcome. I think it would date to around 1900. Austria is certainly a strong possibility as is Germany. It bothers me a little that there is so much gold. I'm used to gold accents like the handles and feet but all that gold on the neck is a bit atypical. Not sure what that could mean but it does add a level of interest.

I'm not sure how much more information there is to find. Records on the molds from this era is spotty at best. And the decoration is no help in an ID as florals were probably the most common motif. These vases were imported by the boat load although you are lucky to have such a large example survive.

Most likely Austrian. Turn of the century, pre WWI

Ah see that Don and I are on the same page.

The flower looks like Oriental Poppy, a popular flower of the time.
