Featured Beautiful Opaline VAse with CAMEO | Handpainted | 24Ct Gold

Hello everybody,

I have been buying opaline glass for a while now.
More on a monthly basiss than on a weekly basis.
Whenever I get the chance to buy a piece for cheap,
and I like it ofcourse, I'll try to get it.

Unfortunately I'm having a very low budget, but I'm glad I could get my hands on this one.

Could anybody help me date this one?

HEIGHT: 30 CM.

-Opaline Glass
-Nice Cameo (probably glass paste)
-Background of the cameo is painted, where often its black onyx or something.
-Beautiful floral decorations, highlighted with gold.
-Black line on the base.
-Handblown (forgot to photograph the pontilmark, and I'm very lazy today )

I have a couple of pieces, often with a cut rim. This one, has just a very nice shape,
and could be French, where my other vases mostly Bohemian.

That's exactly what I thought.
I don't if I placed it here, but I have France Opaline Punch Bowl, Ca.1900.

Unfortunately I received it broken.
That (if in perfect condition) would be number 1 I think.

The punch bowl is fabulous!

 

Beautiful! I can't help in dating it but I do like cameos.

Yes it is. Only the lid is in 10 pieces. I taped it back together on the inside.
And photoshopped the cracks. (Because I was curious to know what the value would be, if it was in good condition.)

But it broke in 10 pieces, so all big and microscopic parts of the gold and enamel are cracked off. A real shame.

But, we're hunting again
