so i bought this beautiful set from a guy for 60 bucks 5yrs ago for my girlfriend but could not name the set or how much they are actually worth. all but two pieces have the same symbol (last picture.) she also bought a few other pieces over the years with different symbols on the back. any help identifying the set and perhaps their worth would be much appreciated. 119084222_602012240677030_5585415205210375937_n.jpg 118933688_378216216533417_2489807802993791427_n.jpg 118984822_641354563471997_7070895566682994191_n.jpg

Here is a link to a very good and comprehensive page about Noritake marks. Be careful as you read and compare to the various stamps on your pieces because some of the marks have subtle differences in different periods.

Very few Noritake designs have an actual "name" assigned by the company, particularly back in the period when the pieces you've shown were made.

I assume your ladyfriend knows that several of the pieces on the table are from a vanity or dresser set. The low round "boxes" were often used for powders, the one on legs with hole in the lid is a "hair receiver", the hand holds your rings and the little one probably for pins.

That might be for the sugar bowl, but certainly not for the larger group in the second picture.

we only have one piece with the "hand painted nippon" the tea cup. the main set has the Noritake "symbol" and then made in Japan. (maruki symbol). 119060104_2667076596884998_3754376122436968389_n.jpg

I can't find the other patterns name. I got to go. So if you search the words noritake lake scène, or castle or boat...maybe you can find it.. otherwise. With the pattern name "tree in the meadow" you can find easly out what it possible worth

That should be the oldest piece, then.
