Could you tell me the origin and age ? Is it hand made or machine ?

    That's pretty.
Can you show the detail on the back of the grasshopper, or the large pink flower.

Has an Asian look, but I don't know embroidery all that well.

    I like it though.

    Very pretty!
My first impression is machine-embroidered and likely made in Japan. But well-focused close up photos showing more detail, front and back, would be immensely helpful.

@clutteredcloset49, don't know if it helps, but since the back is lined, here's a close-up of the grasshopper......even the front fabric looks fairly delicate/worn......

I think this is a Japanese Fukasa which is a textile used as either a gift wrapping or more likely, in a tea ceremony. Lovely piece....maybe 1920’s?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Beautiful! Is the lining made of the same fabric as the front? Silk, maybe?

Absolutely lovely and charming too! I vote for machine made/ and agree circa 1910-1920...
Big as it is; I'd find a way to frame it... wow!
