The cabinet appears to be mint. The phonograph doesn’t work. Is something like this worth anything these days? Looks nice and if I could get the phonograph working, would be sweet??

Sorry pictures are upside down and sideways...ugh

Where does the record player go? What goes into the opening upper right?

Are the electronics set up for stereo and multiple speakers?

  4. The record players is on the opposite side of where you see the radio dial. Sorry I cannot get a picture to load properly. Upper left corner is phonograph, upper right is radio, lower left is empty and lower right is single speaker.

I first heard of Capehart when reading Raymond Chandler's "Lady in the Lake". Philip Marlowe enters the stylish house of one of the characters and remarks on the Capehart in one of the rooms. No description of what it was.

I didn't know, so I looked it up.

It does mean that, when the book was written, they were well enough known that further elaboration was not considered necessary.

So the picture is upside down? Just to make sure I understand.
