    Hello :)

I have 2 of crop.jpg these jars but can't find much info on them. Apparently, they may have been used to store a product made with bees pollen to use as a food supplement.

Does anyone have any ideas or info for me?

    Thanks :D

Well, to shatter the illusion of bee pollen, hubby just discovered that it may have been a Vitanim B supplement rather than bee pollen. Not so magical now

Agree Vitamin B supplement. Googling I found a pic of a Bemax jar, but it didn't take me to whatever it was. Supposely it was once on one of the European eBay sites. I did find Bemax mentioned in a 2004 comment on a UK Telegraph webpage saying it was a wheatgerm. Some used it porridge and stews. Seems it isn't made anymore with some finding "Jordans Natural Wheatgerm is just as good."

Here's a 1930s poster in the Musuem of London for Bemax. Info with the poster:

"Hammersmith firm packaging wheatgerm under the trade name Bemax. The trademark was registered in 1927. The Bemax factory was at Oil Mill Lane. The general public began to be aware of vitamins during the 1920s, the decade when most of the 'B vitamins' were identified."

Perhaps the London museum would be interested in your bottles.

Phew! You have been busy!!! Thanks. Loads of info there. I am thinking of selling them, and will probably put them on Ebay. Pricing them will be a nightmare!
