I found this at a local thrift store today. The manager told me it was a antique olive jar?
    It's big & fat (22" tall & 62" around - INSIDe handles; tape wouldn't reach outside).
Is this a antique olive jar? Would people put their food/olives in this thing?
I found some olive jars but no 4 handled ones - could this be something else?
Any idea of age or where it's from?
    Thanks for any help.

I believe old olive jars would be / are glazed on the inside.

...for holding a lot of something - just not olives! (disclaimer - i could be wrong about that - it's just what i've read in a few places) Maybe a large planter? Maybe for dry foodstuffs? Maybe for a small person to hide in? Maybe for hiding the latest stuff you bought from your spouse?

I've a few of these bought as nice garden decorative items. Not cheap.

I love it, journey. Some sort of storage jar, but not for olives I think.
Is it big enough to hold some of your paintings?:angelic:
