Featured Bird Identification on Watercolor

    Pileated woodpecker I'd say. They sound prehistoric (to my ear) and look like they'll fall from the sky if they don't flap. At least that's my take on them:D

    Was going to say "Pileated Woodpecker", too. They are amazing birds.

    I was going to say Pileated as well. I saw my first one this year (I just took up bird watching) They are actually pretty big birds (And loud when they are pecking)

    This is the best pic I managed

    If you look at the tree, you will see an oval/rectangular hole. That is typical for the Pileated

    Believe I've shown this crummy video before, a Pileated woodpecker going after the mirror on my neighbor's car (he pecked on my car window first):
