Picked this up today for a few dollars at local thrift shop. I normally dont buy this type of stuff because i dont know much about it but the colors and the look caught my eye. Is this by a hobbiest? The frame is kind of rough. On the bottom left it looks to maybe be some sort of possible initials? but might be part of the design as well. Also what kind of birds are these? If anyone has any information that would be great. Thanks!

Needlepoint and almost certainly done from a kit. Dime store frame. Yes, would have been done by a hobbyist. (You can tell how skillful by examining the back.) Abstract birds. If you search around internet, you might be able to find kit made from. Given colorway, likely 1960/1970-ish.
