I have a turn of the 20th C Austrian bronze with a foundry mark of BK inside a square box. There are a lot of sold listings that indicate or show this mark, but no one has identified it. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    Cris

    Welcome Cris.
Could you show us a photo of the bronze? And please click on 'full image' when you post it?
The name Kranewitter is a surname but it is also the name of a type of schnaps. A 'Kranewitt' is a juniper, the schnaps is made of juniper berries.

She is beautiful, @Cris Drugan ISA-AM . She has an Art Deco look, but could be later.
It helps to see the object, at least we can rule out Kranewitter schnaps.;)

Your globe-balancing lady would be by an artist called Kranewitter. The name is native to Austria and Bavaria (southern Germany).
I have not been able to find the artist.
But I found B+K, a company that manufactures and repairs the lining of metallurgical vessels for foundries. They are located in Bocholt, in NW Germany. This may not be the right BK though. Nothing in Austria so far
Many industrial foundries cast bronzes for artists.

Yes it is, like the Art Deco bronze ladies balancing tiptoe on a globe (again).

I can't see a photo, but I assume that is him. And I agree, he would have been old enough for Art Deco, but not for turn of the century, as Cris thought. It is not as detailed as similar pieces of the period.
I found some more info, sorry, in German:

But really, don't you love it when a poster wants info from us, but is very skimpy with photos and the info he already has....
Which means I have just decided to leave this thread for what it is and spend my time and energy on those members who "help us to help them" (to quote @komokwa ).

As I asked in my post, I simply needed to know if the foundry mark was familiar to anyone. I apologize if the first picture of the artists name and foundry mark on a "20th C bronze" listed in the "Art" forum looked like a schnaps bottle.
