There is so much I have to learn about glassware I was thinking this is older and that it could be dated by the marks on the bottom I've tried looking things up and could not figure anything out Also, what do I call the shape of this? It's roughly 7" tall I hope the pics are good as I have to resize and crop them to get them on here Thank you for any help

I do not believe the marks have any relationship to the date of production. It may have been blown in a non-commercial mold, with patches or plugs on the bottom.
The decoration that we can see looks interesting, it would be nice to be able to see it completely. I know, it's hard to photograph!

Try searching for mirror black vases. The marks are probably left from a pedastal to keep the vase from touching the ground as it dries.

Is it definitely glass? From the pics it looks more like porcelain/stoneware but it could just be the reflection.

It glows a beautiful purple when a strong light is placed against it. Black amethyst for sure!
