blessed water pile, silver 916???

    Never seen the 916 mark. What do you think it could be? Bought in Spain.

    Should I polish it?

    It is lovely, and definitely polish it. It is best to use a sunshine cloth, sunshine is the brand.
    For a long time, from 1881 onward, .916 was the highest fineness used in Spain. Only in the late 20th century did they start using .925 fineness (sterling) and very rarely .999.
