Hello everyone - I don't even know where to begin with this one. It came in a box lot. It's 3 1/8" high and 2 1/2" across the base. The closest I can figure it's an incense burner? It has the same motif on all four sides. Does it look familiar to anyone? Thanks for whatever information you can provide.

Thank you very much - mr2real! I might never have found it otherwise. I had no idea it was so old!

I actually sent your photos to crockerfarm and they pointed me to these. They said it should "theoretically" be worth more than the examples shown. German stoneware doesn't sell strong at their auctions.

Thank you for going to that trouble. As near as I can tell there is no damage to mine either. I've had it sitting on my desk since I posted it and have grown rather attached to it. The auction where I bought it had a lot of higher priced items but this one slipped through in a box lot.
