Hi, I’m Claire and am new to this. I inherited some plates and a small tray from my mum and there is no real detail on the underside. How do I work out what they are and if they have any value ?

Welcome, Claire! I'm afraid your picture of the plates is too small to see enough detail to make a guess on pattern and maker. Given the "Made in England" in the other picture, your items are like no older than the late 1890's and may be younger than that.

Please try to upload a larger version of that first picture. Someone may recognize the pattern or be able to find it in a book or reference site.

Does anyone else think that moving this thread to Pottery Glass and Porcelain would help answer the OP's questions more quickly and thoroughly?
