Featured blue unglazed raku? studio vase

    hi folks

    can anyone give me any information on this vase i found today

    not sure if it would be considered raku or not

    unfortunately unsigned

    6 1/2 inches

    something nice about it, maybe just the colour

    any thoughts appreciated

    Love that glaze! And the color. I thought Raku as well,but Ive never seen that before. It almost looks like felt .

    You'd think who ever made it, would have signed something !

    It's very pretty! Here is when I wish I'd been a potter. It doesn't look like what I think of as raku which is often blackened. That base if very white.

    Thanks sis, yeah I thought that to about usually having blackened areas

    The coloured part feels like raku, but the clay underneath is more like stoneware

    I wonder if that is just a matt glaze, I don’t see potter could show that unglazed band any other way, BWDIK :)
