Today I joined this forum. My name is Rob, I am living in the Netherlands. Since about 20 years I collect antique books printed in Antwerp during the 16th and 17th century and books with reused medieval parchment. My library contains about 350 books now.

For an impression see some of my books: https://www.flickr.com/photos/145142689@N02/albums

I would like to share knowledge here on this forum with collectors from all over the world!

Next to collecting old paper is 3D visualization another one of my hobby's. I have spend a lot of time a few years ago to build a Virtual Reality tour of Eindhoven. For this project I used Jacob van Deventers map from around 1560.

Here is a screenshot of the old town hall in the Rechtestraat.

That is really nice. Would love to see the finished result.
At that date it would have been the second town hall, right?

I remember the Gothic Revival one, which was pulled down in the 60s. I loved that building, but it is nothing like a 16th century one of course.

The Gothic Revival townhall, as seen from the marketplace, a photo by Martien Coppens:

Hi, and welcome -- BTW, I once owned a 17thc edition of "The paradoxal discourses of Franciscus Mercurius Van Helmont concerning the macrocosm and microcosm or the greater and lesser world"

    Do you have that one?
