    It has Davison tag on it but I keep getting Davidson when I try to look it up

    You know... I'm going to (respectfully) disagree. A true Gothic arch is pointed like this example.

    Yeah, I am goin with Debora on this one.
    Bookcase maybe many styles but, Gothic ain't one of them.

    The arches on your bookcase are called "tombstone" arches, usually associated with "Queen Anne" but, cabinet isn't what i would call QA. It has those fluted "pilasters" with greek "capitals" on top as well. As is common with "modern" furniture, many different style elements all rolled into one piece.

    Those arches are "Romanesque" and derive from north Italian examples from the Renaissance, going back, ultimately, to Rome. I'd guess ca. 1970-80 on this. This was a premium piece, "classed up" with traditional decoration instead of the prevailing stripped-down (i.e. cheap) modernism of the time.

    I hear you purists. ;) Over here, though, anything that looks faintly churchy like this gets called Gothic Revival.
