We, AJ, think it is possible. Cairo ware, but given its finer quality, it could be Damascus ware.
With any luck the iron is silver, often the case with Damascus ware, but maybe not with Cairo ware.

Agree with AJ, looks Syrian and a bit earlier than most of the Cairoware

 

What age do you two reckon? It's nice quality.

 

I tend to go with pre WW1 given the construction and shape. Nice detail in this one so could well be late 19th.

That would be my guesstimate, but it could be a bit later, as you said.
