    hi folks

found this in our local shoppo yesterwent.

looks in a trench style, but appears not to function as a lighter

so thought trench art with that type of brass no5 type mark

appears they are lighters, so guessing it must have seized on that bottom portion

any thoughts on a good thing to soak in?

ooooo and i kinda polished it on the bus on the way home :woot:

would like to get the lil bugger up and running ;)

got a real soft spot for brass lighters, you get a nice little hand warmer as well after use in the winter :cold:;)

They are not Trech Art ,Charlie, they are fairly modern, 80=90's
if the wheel is free all you should need is some lighter fuel and a flint

Put it in the freezer then on a radiator, a bit of expansion and contracation might free it.
No flame though, it might have some fuel still in it.

    Yup, yup , & yup..!
The modern Camel, Marlboro, and Smoke Stone versions are modern replica/homages of the original wartime trench lighters,
1980's..... circa....thereabouts...... they made em for many years.
I've had 5 , & used to carry one.... until the seal got loose and leaked fluid into my pants pocket.......and it hurt my thigh.....so I stopped using it !

They're cute....but not terribly functional.....as they tended to leak, and are not wind proof ..... and the wick degrades fast...
Folks think they are worth more than they should be.....
