Brass or Bronze Candlestick Help

    9F684CED-3EAD-4E1C-8508-00528562F854.jpeg 9F684CED-3EAD-4E1C-8508-00528562F854.jpeg Anyone have any info to share on these? They’re pair of candlesticks just under 12” each. They’re very heavy and I see no markings other than the notching as shown on both.
    Thanks. I just liked them but was curious if they’re anything special.

    Hi,
    If your first two photos are the top or bottom. If the top they look like ashtrays if the bottom could be for a cord.

    Thnx-the notches are the base and look way too small for any wire. If they were an ashtray they would only hold the skinniest of hand rolled lol.

    Interesting thanks. No idea on the history. Asked around family and no one had a clue. I do think they’re bronze-very very heavy.

    I doubt many people can tell the difference with the weight,there is a small difference of 5 pounds in a cubic foot with bronze being the heavier.


    brass 535 pounds and bronze 540 pounds depending on the alloy.

    Hi,
    That is the trouble with looking a at a photograph there are no measurments to judge size.

    I did put measurements-they’re just under a foot each and appear very well made to me. Well, no one in the family wanted them so I guess they’re mine
