Brass Tray - Persian, Indian or?

Hi all, I would like to hear your opinion on this brass tray. I first thought it might be Persian, but the repousse and style make me think now that it might be Indian in fact? Or am I totally off? Thank you for any comments!

we have several threads about these trays here but usually table size...yours looks like a wall hanger.....

Thank you komokwa, it could be for a small table, the hanger looks as if it was added later. I will measure it later for exact size, my guess is around 45 cm in diameter...

 

It is gorgeous, Mat. But also that grey area where Persian morphs into Indo-Persian.
My guess is Persian, based on the specific type of fine background detail.

Mat, do I see a tin plated edge on the rim? If so that makes a strong case for Persian.

 

An Jewelry, I have to check that again in the evening. On the picture it seems obvious that it is tinned, but when you hold it you do not see much of that. I will see if there are at least traces of it in reality...

The diameter is 39 cm and the hanger looks indeed as if it has been added later. So it could have been on top of a small table. I am not sure if the rim was tinned, in some place there seem to be remains...

 

It is beautiful -- and somebody thought of adding a hanger for display, so they must have liked it a lot.
