Brass vesta or match case/box?

Found this little brass box in a charity shop yesterday and just had to have it. When I picked it up to have a good look a chap next to me said that he thought it was a Stanley knife!
Assume it's a Vesta case or match holder/box with what appears to be a striker concealed under the swivel part of the lid. It measures just over 2 inches long, 1 inch across and 3/4 inch high.
I have searched & searched but cannot find anything quite like it online.

Weirdly after posting my box & having searched for ages I came across these two - "puzzle box" was the key! Although very similar these are both wooden, can't find any in brass/metal.

I would say Vesta case, probably home made or even Trench Art.
Here's one similar without the striker hatching in silver
Described as a trick opening pill box

Thank you for replying. Oh yes, that silver box is very similar - if someone made this themselves I would think they copied something like that.
I did wonder about Trench art but will probably never be able to find out.

I adore gadgety little things so Id have bought it too. Write down a little description and keep it in it,in case one day you cant remember ! Plus itll help the heirs ,if they arent too burned out from the sheer volume as ,mine will be . :)
