Hi, found this earthenware pitcher at a yard sale today, the registry# is 93493 which I think dates it to 1888, am I right about that?

The design is interesting, it looks like a lace edge bag with a cord tied at the top which forms the handle.

It is 7-1/2" tall, about 5-1/4" wide, opening and foot are 3-1/4".

I did Google and ebay searches for "British pottery pitcher" with and without "tassel". I tried "twisted handle" and didn't find anything similar. I also tried searching with the registry number but found nothing other than sites that help date pieces based on the number.

Anyone have any thoughts about who done it? Thanks for any help :)

1888 looks right for the number.

Langley Mills pottery? But only because I once had a pitcher with similar proportions. But then I once has a William Guerin French teapot with similar bulbous shape, so that doesn't mean much.
