Featured Bronze bowl and vase possibly chinese-Need help identifying

I bought these items last year from an estate sale . They look old and weigh around 7 pounds each. Waiting for your comments. Thanks in advance.

 

The design is Chinese, ancient, not sure of item's age

 

Doesn't appear to be bronze. Looks like some other type of metal from the pics.

 

Thanks for the infos. I have a hard time finding similar items with this kind of patterns.

 

I am not an expert but it is non-magnetic and it does have the bronze color in some spots.

They look vintage rather than antique.

I am not seeing ancient/Archaic Chinese designs. The border motif around the neck of the vase is Persian-inspired, something you often see on Yuan porcelain.
The scroll motif is a stylized phoenix, but it is to elegant and plant-like to be Archaic.
The fish motif on the inside of the bowl is also much later than Archaic.

 

The phoenix design is a typical Tang dynasty interpretation, your piece is Chinese.

Yes, you are right! The motifs are different from the chinese archaic patterns but I think that the vase is ancient not vintage.
