Crude casting so I guess a hobbyist piece? I wonder if the penis was not put later as it looks like a separate piece?

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Yeah, Kard... the penis does seem "not to belong" (on so many levels!)... maybe a hobbyist bit of fun!

The actual figure rings a bell somewhere in my memory.
Does that say BANNER on the neck ?
The penile extention was added later and looks to be copper.

The "corkscrew" boy is Manneken Pis from Brussels. Nothing like this figurine.

When I read the title I expected to see a banner on his... part.

Not all corkscrew boys are modeled after Manneken and my post was a reply to Davy's comment "The actual figure rings a bell somewhere in my memory".

It looks like a souvenir from Pompeii but the "Banner" kills that theory.

Going on the theory that the original figurine was a Rose O'Neill Kwepie or Scootles character (or a knock-off) I Googled around.

The closest thing I've found are chocolate molds.

Thats it,someone has used brass in a mould and joined two halves and added the pecker later.

    Thanks, good info.
But if someone used a chocolate mold how did they do the back? I guess those are flat. And then you have the name.

If they were attempting to mature him quickly, they forgot an essential part/parts.

Anyone remember all those little adult bronze pieces - about the same size - with key chains, tiny flash lights, etc. attached? Boys, gals, ladies of the night, one finger salutes, etc. Very much available in any adult store. I think I threw out a couple a few years ago.
That's what Kard's reminds me of. Nothing I would consider collectible.

In all the souvenir shops in Athens you can get corkscrews, figurines, etc. of Priapus with large red peckers.

The backs aren't flat Kard. And, I did look around a while for candy molds with a brand name of Banner, but didn't find any yet. So, that part is still a mystery.
Just curious...did you try a magnet on it? I'm wondering if it's pot metal with bronze-ish spray coating.

I was wondering if that was possible to pour molten metal in a candy mold. Or would a person need to make a plaster mold first?

That boy has some severe grind marks along the mold mark seams, too, I noticed.

He could be used for a ring holder.
