    I have a set of the bird opium weights. There do seem to be many elephants as well.

    But what is the little "chimney" for? Does that have something to do with the scale?

    I'm not sure. It's an intriguing little thing though. I've found lots of images of them but none in action.

    Yes. The patina would suggest so. I've stuck him on my mantel piece withe the rest of Asian stuff.
