Nice bowl. My guess is somewhere in mainland Southeast Asia.
Maybe that is a clue for our research genius @i need help ?

Since you are not getting any input, I will take a stab. Note that this is only my gut feeling, as I am not an expert, and may give you an avenue for research. I get the feeling that this is what is known as an Archaic style Chinese piece. Whether truly old or an imitation, I can not tell. The lack of definition to the casting makes me think the latter.

Don't discount the idea that this may be of other Asian origin. The decoration does not quite fit exactly that of Archaic Chinese bronzes I am finding.

It has some Archaic style influences, but there are not enough motifs or details to make it Chinese.
That is why I thought it could possibly be mainland Southeast Asia, which had trade contacts (influence) with China, but not the Chinese cultural background to add the usual Archaic taotie masks and other details. Those horse's heads, if that is what they are, don't look Archaic either.
Also the writing just below the rim looks more like a Devanagari-related script than like Archaic Chinese.
