Also it would be helpful to have pictures of the back and bottom. Size? Any markings?

My reaction:
Your item does not look like bronze, but rather pot metal that has a bronze or copper coating.

May be a book end if the back is flat. May be a lamp base if there are any holes in the base.
May have been part of a clock if the size is right.

As to who she is - Looks like a variation of Rebecca at the well
