    OH! I did this!
But with a more massive one that if it was a dresser it was used in a tank!
Heavy as hell, all 3/4' solid wood about 7' long, 2.5' deep, white, and 9 drawers!.
Wrapped with aluminum trim for kitchen dining tables and red linoleum top. FABULOUS!
Got it free at a recycling fair south of Seattle.
Used to go to them all the time and I'd walk the line before it opened.
I saw this thing and asked if I could have it. So after we unloaded our other stuff we met outside, parked our pick ups back-to-back and off we both went happy. :)

At these I got some GREAT sh...........stuff!!!
Coolest may be a 1952 Chevrolet Soapbox Derby helmet!
    Both in storage now.

I've seen some cleaver re-purposing of dressers into things like bathroom vanities and benches. Sometimes all that's needed is some paint.

I think I posted this before. There was also a long low dresser. DD decided on the paint and a few new knobs.

New trend we are seeing in our store is drawers removed to provide open space. Not sure why this is preferable but they sell better than intact pieces.

Can fit more in there with all the varied bins available now.
    Good idea I suppose.

Put that in a corner in the kitchen and it'll hold all those appliances that weigh too much to stash in the basement, but that aren't in use regularly. Remake one with a marble top and you've got a baking station.

I had a really long white dresser that I sold recently and the customer was going to turn it into a double vanity sink. Was a well built piece by Drexel if I remember correctly. After everything was installed and setup, he said he was still going to save $1000 or more doing it that way.

Great way to save money and have a quality vanity.

I really like how that turned out.

Seen a few mcm/danish pieces done that way when they were in rough shape and the white really flows with the modern styling.

Thanks, my daughter really thought it through and actually the long, low dresser looks even better but I don't have a photo of it.

These are made in America pieces from the 60's.

I picked up this Bassett dresser along with a Thonet bentwood chair for $40 for both and the dresser has some staining and chipped veneer. Going to go the route your daughter went and paint the exterior white when I can get around to it. Will post pics eventually.

Not sure what I want to do with the Thonet. Would love to strip the paint job someone did off it eventually.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

All of these photos are beautiful. @FWIW please do post eventually when you have updated these.

Look up the Rust-Oleum Furniture Transformations kits sold at most Home Depots or Lowe's. You can see more on the Rust-Oleum website: https://www.rustoleum.com

What makes me scream is when they paint really nice old wood and hack THAT into a bar.
