buffet identification??

    doing some repairs for a client (flood damaged)

    Anyone have any info on this piece? Top drawer front drops down to create a writing desk

    It looks to be middle class American furniture from the mid 20th century period.

    does the stencil on the back help identify the manufacturer? Cant find any other marks

    I would imagine "Mahg." an abbreviation for mahogany. Number probably style.

    Would call this a credenza or hall secretary since it has the desk. Probably 40s-50s and virtually impossible to attribute.
