Bulldog with bat

    I have this 12cm high, batting bulldog in my collection. It seems to be silver plated pewter. It's hat lifts up but not sure what it was used for.

    My guess would be a Match Safe or an Ink Well

    Yes, that's what I thought too, missing its liner. Depth would determine usage. But, whichever, an early baseball image and desirable to collectors, I would think.
