Anyone know what sport the equipment on these buttons is for?

I thought golf at first but now I'm not sure.

I played field hockey in school. I'm surprised I didn't think of that. Thanks!

I thought of field hockey first thing, but aren't the handles impossibly wide & unwieldy? Have sticks changed that much over time? Ones for sale now sure don't look like the ones they gave us in high school gym class.

I wondered about jai alai too, but no, don't think so.

The big handles and curved ends are why I changed my mind about it being golf.

    It's not hockey. That's hurling.

We have to give a little latitude and forgive a certain amount of inaccuracy in artistic representations, but whatever sport (if any) is meant to be suggested by those buttons, it's not any sport that uses that sort of stick (if those are sticks, rackets, clubs, bats, mallets, or whatever) that we've ever seen, and we've seen pretty much everything.
Those don't look anywhere close to anything used in golf, field hockey, ice hockey, bandy, hurling, camogie, field lacrosse, box lacrosse, cricket, baseball, tennis, racquetball, badminton, croquet, polo, kendo, or nguni stickfighting for that matter.
We can only conclude that the intended sport implement is so badly depicted that it might represent almost any sport or game.
Maybe instead they're some kind of cooking implements, and the circle in the middle is a nice waffle.
    Mmm... waffles...

It's Irish Hurling, trust me on this. I watch local children play it a lot.

Those are new and not of irish origin though. Have a look at older ones.

All due respect, but a fairly thorough search hasn't shown us what you're suggesting. Please provide a pic for all of us.
