This is the only photograph I have. It has been on offer for five weeks at €10.

My guess; and it is absolutely a guess is Bakelite, [perhaps Celluloid?] with silver pin ear fixing. Can't see how the necklace clip works.

What is the expert opinion? How close to reality am I? Is it worth a tenner from a hard earned state pension? On the liking side, I think it is worth more than €10; but I don't wear them.

I look forward to enlightenment. Thank you avatars.

I don't know. That never crossed my mind; but I hope you're right. Thanks.

It's 1980s plastic. The little silver coloured bead goes through a loop of "string". I don't think you'll make anything on it.

Agree with 1980s plastic. Good to check here, but I'd pass as well if buying for resale.

I’d pass too I’m afraid but I’m an amateur so don’t take my word for it!

These later 20th center pieces look really promising looking at first glance -- one thinks desirable vintage plastic, or maybe even amber. But they never really caught on. I think were fairly inexpensive to produce and do not have great resale.

I just got one in a bag with other jewelry just a week ago and had to pause at it. Because actually they have a pretty cool bold look, a bit vintage looking to be honest. But they were inexpensively made (guessing in China) in the last few decades. I said 80s above but might even be 90s or 2000.

They're very wearable. I'd not pay more than a few quid though.

They don't come more amateur than me. I had high hope of this. Better to learn before the event of buying.

The other tip off (although there certainly are exceptions to this) is that it has been on offer for 5 weeks with no takers at that price.

I agree w/Bear -- wearable but not great for resale.

Thank you for all your thoughts. My tenner lives to fight another day. Good night.

It's a cute set!....My suggestion is....clean up the earring post...shine the set up with a cloth...put it in a pretty box and sell it as vintage...of which is what it looks like....$20-$25.....you just have to find the right buyer....

It's pretty enough, but not worth a ton. Ten quid is about its limit if it doesn't have a fancy designer name attached to it.
