Featured Cameo and Turtle Brooch

#1 glass foil back turtle brooch, is it possible to figure out who made it? Spots of the foil missing on it







#2 is a cameo - is this shell or plastic? Very shiny, so I though plastic. Just noticed while looking at the photos, this marked 10K - can't make out the name, only the last 3 letters 'BOW'

 

looks like shell from here.........on a bone base...????

ummm....errr...maybe I'm seeing things.....the orange is shell.....but the white under it???

 

The cameo is a legit shell cameo in a 10k case. She's pretty new - 70s probably - but I'm surprised no one dismounted her for the gold.

 

Rainbow, I’ve had 10k solid and 10k gold filled with that mark. Looks like there’s a mark on the pin part too, near the pivot point.

 

Trick of the lighting, it’s the gold frame.

No I’m sure it’s 10k, lots of them out there, mine was a jasperware cameo in 10k and a ring with a shell cameo gold filled.

(Though why anyone would put a cameo on a turtle is beyond me!)

humm...Sea Turtle...gold & diamonds...it's Smashing !!!

 

There aren't any numbers in front of the 10K so yep, solid gold.

 

Turtle is a little 1980s costume piece, I've had one. Not worth a great deal, but pretty and people collect turtles.
