Cameo how old is it?

    Hm. I think that is moulded glass on an applied coloured bisque back rather than a true cameo.

    It looked like chalkware from here. It's made in the design of a Roman cameo, but odds are it's post-WWI. I'd guess 1930s.

    Do you think the cream head is chalkware? It looks a bit shiny.

    I was thinking maybe celluloid, but, just a guess.

    The back of it does have a chalkware type of look. But I agree the head seems too shiny.

    It appears to be plaster that has been glazed with something. Like decoupage or something similar. Then black paint used for the background.

    Notice where the black meets the hair. Also it appears the paint is crackling from age.
