Can anybody help with identifying signature?

    Just purchased this vase at auction for $5. Would appreciate it if anyone can tell me about this piece. Is about 18” high. Looks like a sort of salt glaze. I can’t make out the signature. Many thanks in advance.

    That’s a good question. Really don’t know. It’s got a decidedly Asian feel to it. Colors are beautiful. Thanks for taking a look!

    where are you ? with a tz in the name it's rather German speaking. at the moment it looks like Nautzer or similar to me.

    No. I meant the comment regarding the signature looking legible until you try to read it. I really love Ohio, warts and all!

    I agree that was an awful time for sure

    I've seen this on the bottom of vintage Asian figurines. Now, I know what I'm looking at. Is there any relationship to the age of the item?
