Featured Can anybody help with the identification of this vase/jardinier?

    This is for sale and I would appreciate some help in identifying the pottery. It is 18cm in height and the backmark bears the letters LPW, a crown and a line pattern that might include a letter. I am hoping somebody will instantly recognise the backmark.

    Apart from being old, it is very attractive. All help gratefully welcomed.

    I think the Wessel ID is correct, but out of curiosity: isn't this one of the marks that the Chinese imitate?

    There is a similar fake mark on Chris' site, here. Mark 1-05. Brian Warshaw's mark appears to be real.
