I've been searching tirelessly for any leads on this! There's no maker's mark, but it is numbered 583 on the bottom. I can't seem to find anything similar to this besides a listing on WorthPoint of an identical design in a matte white glaze. I bought this online from a seller in Iowa. It's about 5" tall, 7" long with a matte glaze.

Going off of catalogues and their mold numbers I've been able to rule out Camark and California Originals.

A local antique dealer I showed this to suggested Royal Haeger, and it's been the closest fit I've seen so far with the color and the base style. I suspect it was produced during the 40s, but I can't find any free sources online listing their designs.

    Does anyone have any input?

Here's the WP listing: Vintage White Pottery Swallow Bird Figurine #583 ? Camark ? | #2061638365

Swallows always makes me think: Portuguese. But I don’t really know.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Welcome to Antiquers, @Celissey . Thanks for the excellent photos, and also a well-written first message to the group.

I don't have information on the maker, but I did find another Worthpoint listing for a swallow of the same color as yours. This seller also didn't know the maker.

Edit: It just occurred to me that the link I found might be for the same item as in the original post. To me the dirt in the unglazed part on the bottom looks different...but maybe doesn't matter since the seller of the one in Worthpoint didn't have maker info anyway.

I'm gonna throw this out just as a WAG because I'm thinking British like Beswick or Sylvac.

I'll have to check Beswick, but I did manage to track down the mold number for 583 and rule out Sylvac. It seems to match a pineapple jar! Thank you for the suggestion!

That is in fact the original listing I bought this from haha! I appreciate the effort. I'm heavily leaning towards Haeger as my next producer to research since I found a sold eBay listing for a vase(?) in a "cloudy blue" glaze with a mold number in the 500s. They even mentioned the catalogue year it was featured in (1947 Diamond Jubilee line), but the only problem is I can't find any old catalogues for Haeger online. This piece has been leading me around for a month now!
