Can anyone help me learn if this is an antique scarab?

    I was given this scarab many years ago by a now-deceased family member. I was told that it was an antique, but I am terribly ignorant of scarabs and really don't know where to look. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

    You might try a local museum to see if they have anyone who could tell you if yours is genuine.
