Can anyone help me with these chairs?

I am trying to downsize a bit and I'm going to try to sell these 4 chairs, but I have no idea how old they are or where they came from. Can anyone tell me anything about them? They don't have any labels or marks except some roman numerals (one is XV, another XXIII). If you have a guess about how much I should ask for them I'd love to hear it.

 

They are Empire-style dining side chairs, probably 20th century.

These/yours are formal dining room chairs which are not doing well these days in the market as formal dining rooms are getting to be endangered themselves.
Plus you don't have the armchairs? which would hurt value-wise.

Interesting that these are also numbered with Roman numerals. this it typical but still neat to see the numbering survived.
