    Is this bakelite? it almost looks likexactly there is fiber in the lighter colors?

    The colors with flecks do not look like Bakelite. The pin back is glued on, right? That rules out Bakelite. Overall it looks too new to be Bakelite, it looks 1960s-70s to me, JMHO.

    It's a type of lucite with glass fibre inclusions. Might go into the 80s.
