    We have this Oil Lamp but no idea of its background.

    Has Registered Trade Mark with a sailor ?
    and a over stamped Sheffield mark
    Looks to me like a miners lamp sort of ?

    There’s one that looks the same online by Hattersley and Davidson described as a jewellers brass blow lamp.
