    Hi all

I bought a lovely vase at auction yesterday for £3 - happy days! I now wish to list it on eBay but don't know its origin and definitely can't recognise the maker's mark.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks

I cannot read the mark but it is modern Korean celadon.

Thanks Mat. I will google to get a bit more info before I list it. From the pictures do you think this is a nice example of the modern work or just a cheap run of the mill piece?

It is a nice and hand made piece but not the best of it's kind I have seen, though...

the mark looks like chinese characters, does this still make it Korean?

Yes, it is very common that Korean artist use Chinese letters for their signature.

Under "Korean celadon crane" there are variations of this vase on Ebay.

Took a look to educate myself as well. Thanks, Mat.

A few said "crackle glaze" in their auctions.
